Just a short story i found =D

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life, and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it, and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water. In the first pot, she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs and the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil without saying a word. In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl.

Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what do you see?" "Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied. She brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they got soft. She then asked her to take the egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg. Finally, she asked her to smell and sip the coffee. The daughter smiled, as she smelled and tasted its rich aroma. The daughter then asked, "What's the point, mother?"

Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity- boiling water-but each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior. But, after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water they had changed the water.

"Which are you?" she asked her daughter. "When trials and adversity knock on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?"

Think of this: Which am I?

Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity, do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with a passive heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside, am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and a hardened heart?

Or, am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you become better and change the situation around you.

When the hours are the darkest and trials are their greatest do you elevate to another level?

Rofls been long since i last blogged , first and foremost I HAVE and SUCCESSFULLY made my I/C on friday (04/07/08) ROFL! Ate Choc fondue again =DD (all smiles). And sat a Start-Stop-Anytime-The-Bus-Driver-Want bus (weiloke 's 2 hours 5 metre stop and move bus ) Rofls didnt really have a great impact on me as much as what it did to weiloke (he is tramatized by it ) . So another day gone~

Just now 2 dogs came barking up my house .
For some freakin' reason which i am very sure you'll find it stupid
The dogs (which i have labelled my neighbours as they are F****ing irritating )
have barked up the wrong door , first the bitch came up and hurled words of no reasons to my mum asking her why did she (my mum) say that the dog poured water and sand on the floor infront of my (my house) door. Then she started talking in dog languages ( if i understand any)
it goes like this ... " woof woof woof , woooff wooff woof!! woof woof bark bark bark ."
I think that bitch is trying to say im a bitch so stop telling me what to do . i have a mind of my own ( i doubt so.. )
Anyway she left after losing to me . No lah jk =.= losing to my mum and dad ( WOOTS TWO SWORDS AS ONE aka shuang jian he bi ) LOLS!! anyway my mum and dad tried their best to stoop to their level by trying their best to talk in dog languages which i think sounds more human to me =.=

as unexpected , 3/4 won the overall champion (well yay!)

went to the beach on friday , went to big splash
i thought there was some swimming pool but well there isn't one , anyway it is a big food centre with lots of food from KFC to some classy restaurants.

and i brought 2 bottles , one broke and i haven started using the other.

so that was what i did for the past 4 days =D

Back from camp and is missing it right now ~
Sianz hahas these 3 days was fun!
All thanks to Adi , T.K. and of cause 3/4
what happen these 3 days hahas =D

Day 1
reached school at about 7.00 am ,
we need to prepare some stuff before we leave for kota tinggi
after that we went for assembly , waiting for the trainers to come
we gotten marvin ( i guess that how they spell it )
and gillion =X?
they were fun thought that we got good trainers
than they were changed =X they got to the wrong groups DUH ~
and we gotten TK and Adi (CHEERS)
my first reaction was omg , why have to change
wait! i regret the change
went from riverside to kota tinggi
3/4 were in the bus practicing our cheers
we're super high , cheering and singing anyway the bus was cool
a double decker but only till tuas check point hahas
cheering our way to kota tinggi was fun
reached kota at about 2 + and we gathered to have lunch
after that was activity!
What we did ( in sequence , i hope im correct )
Loop a loop ( the hula game )
pass the message
river playing ( literally river playing anyway this is the thing that stained my shirt and shoes)
-this was the most fun part where i guess every one in 3/4 like it best hahas we love the river we love the river! playing in the river was fun , splashing water at each other getting wet , guess this is what that bonded us =D this is also where adi got wet !
flying fox (fun but not exciting hahas =x)
dinner
night walk
-walked with jielin , seriously the walk was scary i thought i keep sawing people sitting by the side of the track , they were bushes but it was scary , me and jielin was like omg omg omg
so ... ... before we reached the end , we're like whats that white patch in front of us , then later we got to notice they were some of the 3/4 peeps who went ahead of us . anyway the night sky in kota was really nice you will never get to see this in singapore i swear and we saw fireflies .

Day 2
did morning excerise right after we gathered , ate breakfast
and then the activity ,
indiana jones
-crossing of platforms on water from an end to another , cheers for natalie and yanjun , they got supergule butts.anyway this was the part where tk and adi got wet lala~ we threw them down into the pond =D .
campfire preparation (cp)
lunch
it rained so we had sing along session
river playing again
-we walked up the stream this time , it was fun , we walked all the way up to the point where we play the day before , and started playing again , really hope to go there again next time .

-was super high , we were the first to perform , it was great , we did our best =D dancing and swaying to everything
supper and debrief

Day 3
went for breakfast
cheered in the canteen

oh ya and adi got wet again . =X ( we are so sorry we didnt managed to save you . and an conclusion , adi get wet every where he go.)
and did area cleaning
-area cleaning was really cleaning we were maids for a day , we cleaned the girls toilet
seriously , the girls dun know how to shit =.=
and they dispose their pads every where
anyway had 'fun ' cleaning the toilet.
went up to an auditorium sort of place and waited , while we sang and cheered until the bus came.
so ya went back to riverside.
ate cavana
and i slept

Anyway we sang songs on the bus and tk and adi sang their song too hahas =D
sure will miss them =X
